Maldives Institute of Local Governance (MILG) is the training institute of the Local Government Authority (LGA), established for the purpose of undertaking its capacity development mandate on behalf of LGA. Registered with the Ministry of Higher Education, MILG will become operational effective from August 2022.
The Primary purpose of MILG would be the execution of one of the primary mandates of the LGA entrusted by the Decentralisation Act: that of capacity building which is integral for the development of decentralized system of governance of the Maldives.

Organisational Structure
މޯލްޑިވްސް އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓް އޮފް ލޯކަލް ގަވަރނަންސްއަކީ، ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ އިދާރީ ދާއިރާތައް ލާމަރުކަޒީ އުޞޫލުން ހިންގުމަށް ބޭނުންވާ ތަމްރީނުތައް ފޯރުކޮށްދިނުމަށް ލާމަރުކަޒީ ޤާނޫނުން ލޯކަލް ގަވަރމަންޓް އޮތޯރިޓީއަށް މަތިކޮށްފައިވާ ޒިންމާ އަދާކުރުމަށްޓަކައި އުފައްދާފައިވާ އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓެކެވެ. މި އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓަކީ 2019 ވަނަ އަހަރު މިނިސްޓްރީ އޮފް ހަޔަރ އެޑިއުކޭޝަންގައި ރަޖިސްޓްރީކޮށްފައިވާ އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓެކެވެ.
